Mike Kroll – President & Chief Executive Officer
Mike is a 20-year veteran of the career training and development industry, having served in a range of capacities from account management and sales leadership to product innovation and strategic planning. He is considered by many as one of the most influential people in the eLearning industry, further adding to his legacy with the recent acquisition of a market disruptive training and technology company that led to the formation of LMS Courses. Previously, Mike was Executive Vice President, General Manager at PureSafety (UL) where he drove record-breaking growth – earning the company a spot on Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5000” as one of the fastest growing companies in America. His reputation for building strong teams, executing quickly on research and development initiatives, and developing industry thought leadership contributed significantly to the rapid launch of LMS Courses. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
Mike Hedge – Chief Technology Officer
Mike has spent more than 30 years in the technology field architecting, building, and publishing mission critical, best-of-class applications that serve the occupational health and safety, warehousing, and logistics industries. Mike is a proven leader with a long track record of creating and developing high performance teams to drive business growth. Some critical core competencies he brings to Driver’s Alert include software architecture, design and development; technology infrastructure design and implementation; and quality assurance. Mike was a founder of Perdatum, a software company that developed Prognos, a workers’ compensation claims management platform for the occupational health and safety industry. The growth of Perdatum quickly generated buzz in the industry, leading to its acquisition by PureSafety, Inc. (now UL). While at PureSafety, Mike continued managing and developing the Prognos product line while also helping his new employer with the ongoing buildout of its software and hardware infrastructure. Just prior to joining Driver’s Alert, Mike worked at WDS, Inc., a leading warehousing and distribution company. There he created an IT department, developed the company’s technology infrastructure, and built customer portals. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Wright State University.
Veronica Taylor – Vice President of Operations
Veronica is a master of process management, having developed these skills as an account manager and consultant early in her career. Over the last several years, her pioneering work in developing custom applications for managing vendors, assets and customer relationships has translated into game-changing savings for organizations such as Philips Healthcare (member of development team responsible for implementing first Salesforce.com instance), Nissan and PureSafety (UL). At LMS Courses, Veronica is responsible for implementing sales and customer service processes that streamline workflow, increase productivity, and improve data management. You might even see her acting talents on display in one our PSA-styled videos, coming Fall 2015! Veronica is a Salesforce.com expert and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concord University.
Ron Kirsch, Ph.D. – Senior Vice President of Business Development
With more than 30 years of experience in the occupational health and safety (OHS) industry, Ron is a true icon — having published a variety of articles on OHS, risk management and hazard communication that have appeared in leading trade journals such as Occupational Health & Safety, Safety + Health, The Journal of Workers Compensation and Safety Matters. He is also the developer and author of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Haz-Mat Quick Guide, coauthor and editor ofPestline®, and coauthor of The Material Safety Data Sheet Handbook. Currently, Ron serves as Chair on the NFPA-704 Committee on Classification and Properties of Hazardous Chemicals Data, and is on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Safety & Health Congress (TSHC). He also served three terms as President of the ASSE’s Middle Tennessee Chapter and was nominated by them as Safety Professional of the Year. Ron is also a member of numerous organizations including the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), National Safety Council (NSC) and Society for Chemical Hazard Communication (SCHC). At LMS Courses, he operates as the go-to person for anything related to strategic business development and functions as the organization’s principal subject matter expert (SME). Ron holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pre-Medicine from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Master of Science and Doctorate in Occupational Health & Safety from LaSalle University.
Rich Sordahl – Vice President of Marketing
Rich is accountable for building and managing the LMS Courses brand. In this role he employs a variety of tested as well as experimental methods to maximize market awareness of LMS Courses’ training products. Rich brings extensive hands-on experience in the marketing discipline having successfully performed numerous functions within the areas of promotions and market research. One of his favorite buzz-building instruments is event marketing, which he has utilized extensively throughout his career. Another favorite of Rich’s is content marketing, which is set to turn the eLearning industry upside down with the launch of PSA-styled videos. He might even unleash some of his pent-up thespian skills! Rich holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in Marketing from Clemson University and a Master of Science in Advertising from The University of Illinois.
Paul Murray – eLearning Specialist
Paul has worked in many capacities at LMS Courses, from account management and sales engineer to product implementation and workplace safety spokesperson. He keeps his finger on the pulse of the eLearning market by frequently visiting clients, conducting media interviews, speaking at industry conferences, and attending regional and national expositions. Paul’s diligent monitoring of industry and market developments has played a crucial role in the adoption of many best practices at LMS Courses. Also, he has played a leading role in developing unique solutions for the insurance space and is frequently found experimenting with new concepts that will add value to new and underserved markets. Paul is one of the future stars of PSA-style training videos, coming Fall 2015.
